Composite video and component video

Composite video is a video signal that combines the chroma (color), burst (color reference), luma (brightness), and sync (horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals) into a single waveform carried on a single wire pair.

Component Video is a three-wire video interface that carries the video information in its basic RGB components or luma (brightness) and two-color-difference signals.
