It is reported that Apple’s iPhone and iPad mobile advertising defeated Android devices and ranked first in the statistical of a variety mobile advertising in the third quarter of 2011. Millennial Media made this survey of existing connecting devices including smart phones, feature phones, tablet and other networking mobile devices. Combination of Android connecting devices and smart phones accounted for 56%, iOS 28% ranked second, Blackberry third – 13% of ad display. Symbian and Windows only accounted for 1%. The use of smart phones increased 7% than the second quarter, 37% than the same period last year. Smart phone web browsing traffic accounted for 72%, feature phones and other connecting devices (including tablet) tied for second place, each accounted for 14%.
Among the top 15 manufacturers share, Apple continues to occupy the first place – 23.09%, Samsung and HTC share of 16.48 and 15.50% respectively. RIM, Motorola and LG about 10%, Huawei and Nokia were 3.05 and 2.41%, which has been gradually started the gap widening. The remaining seven companies accounted for less than 1% of the ad display: Sanyo, Kyocera, Sony Ericsson, Pantech, KDDI, Sony, and a private brand.

Six Android phones currently ranked the top 20, HTC accounted for 10%, while the Samsung Android smart phone got about 5% of the share. RIM’s BlackBerry about 10%, two Android devices of Motorola more than 7%.
